I absolutely love this article! As a PR major seeking new and innovative ways to serve the clients I'm already working with, this article only further proves my opinion on "bigger the better". When I first work with a client I explain to them that I am the type of public relations professional that likes to do "bigger and better" ways to gain publicity because it catches attention. The difference between the negative way people view publicity stunts and what I have in mind is that I believe in positive and creative means of achieving "bigger and better". I love the way Taco Bell creatively used April fools day and a pun on the taco "bell" idea. It made me laugh and want a Chalupa as I was reading this article! lol. No wonder why they made a lot more profit on that day alone. I believe that Taco Bell has the type of food that people crave whenever it comes to mind, so it was definitely a great idea to make people think about Taco Bell by pulling the April Fool's stunt.

About the Author

My name is MilaRose Canullas and I am a senior public relations major with a minor in business. In my spare time I like to work on creative public relations projects for independent groups showcasing local New Jersey music artists. My passion is inspiring individuals to follow their dreams. I have another blog that is still under construction but anyone is more than welcome to check it out and comment. The url is www.buildingdreamsinspired.wordpress.com. Your support is very much appreciated.

I am currently in the process of designing and implementing a business plan for my own public relations company called Building Dreams Public Relations. The idea is to help new artists get a head start on making their vision come true by working with their budget. Hiring a public relations specialist can be very costly and in most cases new artists are on a very tight budget. I would like to create a relationship with my client based on trust and focusing on a longer term relationship rather than just about money.
